In 2012, Young Eco Ambassador អេកូយុវទូត founding team were the members of the U.S. Ambassador Youth Council and initiated various wildlife awareness campaign. In 2015, with Filipino youth, we developed a proposal to promote green lifestyles and won YSEALI Seed for Future Grant.

MISSION: To spread our love for Mother Earth to the world by setting a platform for the exchanges of knowledge and ideas that reconnect us the humans back to nature. We focus on the personal development of each individual to get in touch with their authentic selves or their true “nature” for that becomes the motivating force in serving Mother Earth and build a legacy that will influence the seven generations after us. As a bridge, we serve as a resource to individuals, local communities, organizations, and business who wish to implement this value in their way of living and working.
Young Eco Ambassador has been well known for its annual members recruitment and capacity development program that enhances not only the participant’s knowledge on the biodiversity, well-being and sustainable consumption but also spiritually connection with nature. All members are required to put what they have learnt into practices through running awareness campaign, giving public talk, and producing video, etc. There has been two generation of YEA in which the first one focusing on forest and wildlife, and the second one on hygiene, plastic consumption, women well-being and eco-friendly products.
Der Prey is an earth conscientious trip organizer who provides traveler a unique experience of staying and exploring Cambodia’s magnificent forests and ecotourism sites. We work with the belief that nature not only provides entertainment, but it can also heal, and educate. By encouraging the visit to these nature places, we can contribute to the economic development and the conservation effort of the local community.
In 2017, Der Prey has brought approximately 300 people, including youths, business persons and photographers to eastern plain landscape of Mondulkiri, Ramsar flooded forest in Steng Treng, the land of diamond in Pailin, South Cardamom and mangrove forests in Koh Kong, and Northeast plateau of Ratnakiri province.
Every trip traveling with Der Prey, a story of nature is told, the authentic self is connected, and true happiness is found.
Eco Life Cambodia is a project running by Cambodian young people selected to learn more about environmental problems as well as ways to tackle the issues through superb activities inspired by Young Eco Ambassador. The project will begin their journey by exposing themselves to Cambodian social enterprises and promoting eco-friendly products through any means to address environmental problems. Winning a grant competition from Young South East Asia Leaders Initiative part of US mission in ASEAN earlier this 2017.
Always keen about social enterprises and environment, team wants Cambodians to adopt more green lifestyle. They sell bamboo straws, bamboo toothbrush, stainless steel straws,tumblers, and other natural products from social enterprise in Cambodia.
December 2017, Eco Life Cambodia throws a really memorable event “The Green Fair Cambodia” is the intersection of enterprises, projects, youth in Phnom Penh that have been working on environmental protection flied to meet share inspire and collaborate to thrive the mother earth.
Green Lady Cambodia/Vietnam provides girls & women menstruation education, eco-friendly choices for period time in order to save environment, better health, cost-saving and a green business. Green Lady Cambodia/Vietnam won YSEALI seed for future grant 2017 and duration of the project starts from of February 2017 until November 2017.
Woman uses about 360 plastic pads in her life time. Real passion for environment is the behind story of coming to have this project. Team then found out that beside reduce plastic consumption, this project provides women better choices of product for their period time, empowers them to speak out and joins the revolution. Period is a positive story and it shall not be something that pollute the earth.
Green Lady Cambodia/Vietnam is fully supported by Young Eco Ambassador and Eco@Femme. The project introduced women around the cities through social media about Eco@Femme’s washable clothpads and She Cups’s menstrual cup from Auroville, India. In April, we conducted training and workshops with around 200 women in the cities on washable pads, menstrual cups, self-care, earth-care and basic menstruation education. For almost one year, we sold out about 530 washable pads and 10 cups in total for both Cambodia and Vietnam.
Grant for the project should come to an end right now, though Green Lady is still continued her journey to keep widen up the choices for women’s period time, raise awareness and provide menstruation education.
Green Lady is now on the testing prototype stage and working closely with partners and networks, develop menstruation education module paper was closely guided by Eco@femme.
10 Days Mission is a project initiate by members of Young Eco Ambassador aiming to implement a sustainable project in water sector.
10 Days Mission’s mission is to provide clean and safe drinking water to schoolchildren for better sanitation and healthier living environment. Team believed that one day, all schoolchildren in Cambodia can access to clean and safe drinking water for better sanitation and healthier living environment.
10 days Mission do fundraising with public, seek for sponsorship from network to install the Biosand Filter for safe drinking and using water for kids at school.
10 Days Mission provide the clean and safe water by installing the Biosand Filter, educate schoolchildren about water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), encourage people, especially youths who always have access to clean water and may not be aware of clean water shortage in other areas in the country through volunteering to contribute in providing clean and safe drinking water to those in need. The project implemented at Veal Mean Chey Primary School, Roleang Chork commune, Samrong Tong district, Kampong Speu province in 2016-2017.
KanKeo (means “carry your glass” ), is the movement to promote green daily behavior on eradicating the plastic consumption by educate, inspire and encourage catering and packaging services to use reusable items for a sustainable and a healthy lifestyle.

Event in July 2017, co-organized by កាន់កែវ – KanKeo Movement and Plastic Free Cambodia.The team gather over 40 people coming from more than 20 organisations who are working on the same theme “plastic pollution in Cambodia” to share common struggles and potential solutions in achieving this mission, and create opportunities for mutual support and collaboration.
